Questions, answered honestly

33 questions we are asked most often — about student visas, tourist visas, documents, money, refusals and what we charge. If yours is not here, call the office.

Working with TravyomiHow we work, what we charge for, and what happens at the first meeting.

We prepare and file your visa application end to end. That means working out which visa category actually fits your case, giving you a written document checklist for that category, checking every page you bring, filling and submitting the forms, booking the appointment, preparing you for the interview if there is one, and following the file until the passport is back in your hands.

We look at your purpose, your profile, your funds and your timeline, and tell you which route fits — or that none does yet. You leave with a written document list for your specific case and a realistic date-wise plan. The first assessment is free and there is no obligation to proceed.

It helps for the first meeting, but it is not compulsory. We handle applications from across Gujarat and India over phone, WhatsApp and email. Original documents can be couriered, and biometrics are always given in person at the VFS or embassy centre anyway.

One consultant owns your file from the first call to the decision. You will not have to re-explain your case to a different person each time you call.

For Australia and New Zealand, advice is given by licensed migration agents. For other destinations we work as visa consultants preparing and filing applications, which is what those countries require. We will tell you plainly which category your case falls into.

No, and be careful of anyone who does. The decision belongs to the visa officer. What we control is that your file is complete, correctly categorised, internally consistent and submitted on time — which is what most refusals actually come down to.

Student visasUniversities, SOPs, funds, dependants and the study routes we file most.

Four to six months before the intake is ideal. That gives room for the language test, the university offer, the funds to be arranged properly, and the visa itself. Applications started late still get filed — they just get fewer choices of university and intake.

No. Requirements vary by country, university and course. Some German and Irish programmes accept a medium-of-instruction letter, and many institutions accept PTE, TOEFL or Duolingo. We check the rule for your specific university before you book any test date.

It depends entirely on the destination. Canada’s SDS route needs a GIC plus first-year tuition; Australia wants tuition, living costs and travel; the UK sets a fixed maintenance amount that varies by city. We calculate your exact figure and structure the proof so the officer can verify it quickly.

We guide you on which banks and NBFCs the embassies accept, what the sanction letter needs to say, and how loan funds sit alongside family savings in the financial story. You take the loan directly from the lender — we do not broker loans or take commission on them.

Several destinations allow dependants on a student visa — Canada, Australia and New Zealand in particular — with rules that change by course level. Where it is allowed, we prepare the dependant file alongside yours so both are decided together.

Most study destinations allow limited part-time work during term and full-time during breaks, with the exact hours set by the visa conditions. Treat it as help with living costs, not as a way to fund tuition — visa officers look closely at applications that seem to depend on it.

Often yes. Course choice, the funding story and how the gap or backlog is explained matter as much as the percentage. We will tell you honestly which countries and institutions are realistic for your profile rather than encouraging an application that will be refused.

Tourist and visitor visasHolidays, family visits, Schengen rules and family group files.

Dubai and Singapore: one to two weeks is usually enough. Schengen: start six to ten weeks before travel, because the appointment alone can take weeks in peak season. UK and USA: as early as you can — US interview waits vary widely by consulate.

After. For the application we arrange embassy-acceptable reservations rather than paid tickets, so you are not holding non-refundable bookings while a decision is pending. Anyone who tells you to buy tickets first is not protecting your money.

The country where you will spend the most nights. If the nights are equal, the country you enter first. Applying through the wrong consulate is a common and entirely avoidable reason for refusal, so we work it out from your itinerary before anything is booked.

Each traveller files their own application, but the files must support each other — the same itinerary, linked funds, consistent hotel bookings. We prepare them together so one weak file does not sink the whole group.

Sometimes. Dubai and Singapore genuinely process quickly, and some VFS centres offer paid priority services. What we will not do is promise a Schengen, UK or US decision by a date nobody controls. If your timeline is unrealistic, we say so before you spend money.

Usually an invitation letter, proof of their status in that country, proof of address, and — if they are covering costs — their income documents. We send your host a clear list so nothing has to be chased twice.

Documents and financesWhat officers actually look for in your paperwork.

Stability more than size. A steady balance that matches your declared income reads far stronger than a large amount deposited last week. Salary credits, ordinary spending and a closing balance that comfortably covers the trip — that is the story it needs to tell.

Not if it is explained. Large unexplained deposits are one of the most common triggers for refusal. If a family member is funding you, we document them as a sponsor properly — their income proof, ITRs and your relationship evidence — instead of leaving the officer to guess.

For any visitor visa, the officer is deciding whether you will return. Employment, a business, property, dependants and a clear reason to come back are what answer that. Ties must be shown with documents, not just claimed in a cover letter.

We tell you exactly which documents need translation, notarisation or apostille for your destination, and guide you through getting it done. Some destinations are strict about who may translate, so this is worth doing correctly the first time.

Most consulates want bank statements from the last three to six months, stamped, and salary slips from the last three. Police clearances and medicals have their own validity windows. We sequence the collection so nothing expires before submission.

Refusals and reapplyingWhat to do when an application has already gone wrong.

Not blindly. A repeat application with the same file usually gets the same answer, and each refusal sits on your record. Bring the refusal letter and the submitted file; we identify what actually triggered it and refile only once the file has genuinely changed.

Yes, always, on every form that asks. Undeclared refusals are found — consulates share data — and a concealed refusal is treated far more seriously than the original one. A declared refusal with a corrected file is a normal application.

It depends on the country and visa type. Some allow a formal appeal or review within a deadline; for many, a fresh, better-prepared application is the faster and cheaper route. We will tell you which applies to your case.

Long enough to fix what caused the refusal, and no longer. If it was a missing document, that can be days. If it was a weak financial history or thin ties, it may be months of genuine change. We do not refile a case that is not ready.

Fees, safety and your documentsWhat things cost and how your passport is handled.

The service fee depends on the visa type and destination, and it is separate from embassy, VFS and biometrics charges, which you pay directly to those bodies. You get the full breakdown in writing before any work begins, and nothing is added later.

Yes. The assessment, the honest opinion on whether your case is viable and the written document list cost nothing. You only pay once you decide to proceed with the application.

Passports and originals are logged against a receipt and kept in the office safe, and they are returned to you in person. For most applications your passport only leaves your hands at the biometrics appointment.

Your documents and data are used only to prepare and file your application. We do not share them with third parties, sell data, or pass your details to agents or lenders.

Embassy and VFS fees are paid to the government and are never refundable by anyone. Our service fee covers the work of preparing and filing the file, which is done either way. What we do offer on a refused case is a full review at no additional service charge.
